Diane Baldry for Chatteris Town Council
Diane has in the past been a member of Chatteris Town Council, and would now love to be elected to serve as a member for The Mills Ward, where she lives.
Diane is probably best known locally for her involvement in the hugely successful Chatteris Town in Bloom, a project which in 2009 achieved a coveted Gold Award for accomplishments in decorating Chatteris with plants and flowers and bunting and beautifying derelict buildings with amusing false frontages.
Whilst a member of the Town Council, Diane was a member of the CCTV Committee and involved in having the cameras better used and helping ensure police catch those involved in crime and anti social behaviour.
Diane has been active in the CAB (Citizens Advice Bureau) and a member of the Sports Forum, which was set up to ensure that new sports facilities planned for the Cromwell site will provide use for casual 'pay and play' as well as facilities for clubs.
Diane says: "I would like to see much more money spent in this town. I feel we are always the last on the list as far as the District is concerned. I will fight for what is ours and for the improvement in facilities and services that we deserve and need."
